RYDCAST Driver Privacy Policy
Version: 2026-09-21-US2
For United States pilot accounts, CastTech Inc. operates the RYDCAST platform. RYDCAST™ and the RYDCAST logo are trademarks of CastTech Inc.
This policy explains how RYDCAST handles United States driver, fleet, vehicle, device, location, proof, wallet, and payout data.
1. Controller and contact
CastTech Inc. determines the purposes and means of processing data for United States pilot driver accounts unless a fleet agreement identifies a different controller. Privacy requests and appeals may be sent to privacy@rydcast.app.
2. Account and identity data
RYDCAST may collect names, mobile numbers, email addresses, login and passkey records, date of birth or age confirmation, government ID and driver’s-licence details, selfie or identity-verification images, fleet relationship, authorization documents, bank or payout details, tax information, insurance and permit evidence, consent records, support communications, and security events.
3. Vehicle and device data
RYDCAST may collect vehicle make, model, year, plate, registration, inspection and insurance details; device identifiers and pairing records; app and operating-system information; IP address; screen, power, connectivity, storage, playback and audio telemetry; installation status; and tamper or fraud signals.
4. Location and route data
When earning mode or campaign delivery is active, RYDCAST may process precise or approximate location, timestamps, heading, speed or movement status, route context, geofence results, and location age. Current location is used for lawful campaign eligibility, sensitive-area blocking, proof, safety, fraud prevention, and billing.
Stale or missing location must not be presented as current. Turning off location or earning mode stops active campaign eligibility and may prevent proof and earnings.
5. Proof, payout, and audit data
RYDCAST stores campaign assignments, creative fingerprints, playback evidence, proof confidence, exceptions, QR activity, advertiser charges, driver earnings, reserves, reversals, disputes, payout status, operator decisions, and immutable or append-only audit records where supported.
6. Uses
Data is used to register and secure accounts; verify eligibility and authority; pair drivers, vehicles, and devices; determine campaign eligibility; deliver media; create proof; calculate billing and payouts; prevent fraud; support users; investigate incidents and disputes; improve reliability; meet tax and legal requirements; and establish, exercise, or defend claims.
7. Audience measurement and biometrics
Approved passenger screens may generate transient broad audience estimates for adult-only eligibility and aggregate reporting. RYDCAST does not intend to identify passengers, create persistent passenger profiles, or disclose face images, faceprints, or biometric templates to advertisers.
Identity verification may process a selfie or biometric signal through an approved provider. Where biometric identifiers are collected, RYDCAST will provide required notice, obtain consent where required, limit disclosure, protect the data, maintain a retention and deletion schedule, and provide a method to exercise applicable rights.
8. Sharing
Data may be shared with authorized fleets and vehicle owners; advertisers through limited or pseudonymous proof reports; payment and payout providers; identity, hosting, mapping, messaging, security, analytics, support, audit, and professional-service providers; insurers; and regulators, courts, tax authorities, or law enforcement where legally required.
RYDCAST does not sell driver personal data.
9. Retention
Account, vehicle, proof, payout, tax, consent, and dispute records are retained while needed for the service and afterwards for legal, safety, fraud, tax, insurance, audit, backup, and claim purposes. Sensitive verification and biometric data are subject to shorter purpose-based retention and applicable deletion requirements.
10. Security
RYDCAST uses safeguards proportionate to risk, including access controls, hashing, encryption where supported, audit logging, device and session checks, monitoring, backups, and incident-response procedures. No system is completely secure.
11. United States and Colorado rights
Depending on residence, context, and applicable law, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, or portability; opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling; limit certain sensitive-data uses; withdraw consent; and appeal a denied request.
The Colorado Privacy Act generally distinguishes consumer activity from employment records. Even where a statutory consumer right does not apply to fleet or work data, RYDCAST will evaluate a request under this policy while retaining records needed for safety, contracts, payouts, tax, fraud, disputes, insurance, or law.
12. Children, transfers, and changes
Driver and fleet accounts are for adults and are not directed to children under 13. Data may be processed in other states or countries using appropriate safeguards.
RYDCAST may update this policy as devices, processors, laws, and services change. Material changes will be posted and renewed consent obtained where required.
